Question by asdfhjkl;: Interior design ideas for teenagers on a budget?
My friend & I are redoing her loft. It’s about half the size of a normal room so space conservation is an issue, but we also want to make it a really comfortable place to hang out in. We were thinking of having a ton of bean bags instead of chairs, hanging lights and lots of shelves. What are some other ideas?

You can buy those weird chain things with clothes pin like attachments. You can hang stuffy animals, shoes, hats, clothes etc. from it. Would really save a lot of space. Also if you suspend a net in an upper corner it could be another catch all place for stuff.
Find a big old picture frame, hang it on the wall and put photos etc in it. Mirrors REALLY enlarge small places. Keep the colors light and bright to make it look less like a hole. Make sure you have lots of light sources, or at least a good one.

Add a mirror? A mirror on a wall can help make a room look bigger and you can customize the frame to fit your style. i did this in my place and I love it. Every time someone comes over they always talk about it. I got he idea from a blog i ran across a while back.
