How can I design a bedroom with a steampunk/victorian style?

Question by h8ted_by_boys: How can I design a bedroom with a steampunk/victorian style?
In my interior design class we have to design a room for someone else. The girl who I have to design a room for wants me to make her a steampunk mixed with victorian styled room. I’ve never made a room like that before and I need a bit of help. Things like wallpaper, paint, furniture, and accessories will be needed. Pictures would be really helpful.

Wow It looks like you have a hard design ahead of you but I think it can be done.
I didn’t know what steam punk was but from the look of it, it is futuristic, fantasy, alternate history, so I would make like a twist of Original victorian and stuff. Any way here are some pics to consider.

That sounds like soooo much fun! Perfect combo! Main components to use should be metal gears and tons of toile!

^hit up thrift stores, rummage sales for any kind of furniture. Even if it has a slight antique look you can also restain/paint and add distressed looks and finish with brass metals for a steampunk style

    ^gear type design

Gears are a huge hit with steampunk and you can hit any junk yard and pick some up and don’t need to do anything expect arrange on a wall:) Also, see if you can’t find a broken chandelier you can fix up and add elongated bulbs and gears to to seriously mesh the victorian and steampunk! Have fun!!
