How are The Art Institues reguarding their interior design programs?

Question by brzskchrs: How are The Art Institues reguarding their interior design programs?
I’m trying to decided wheather or not to transfer here. I’ve read a lot of reviews and it almost seems as if 1 out of the 7 reviews I’ve read are positive and the rest are negative. Is there anyone who’s attending/attended this college for interior design? Is the program good? Have you found a good paying job? Are the professors well educated in what they’re teaching?

Think you would be better off not going to AI. Most importantly because almost none of their locations have an interior design program accredited by CIDA (Council of Interior Design Accreditation). Where I live in San Diego there’s an AI but there are options like Design Institute of San Diego (http://www.disd.edu) that will give you a much better education and they are CIDA accredited.

You can see what CIDA accredited programs are near you at: http://www.accredit-id.org/accredited-programs

What do you think? Answer below!

I attended The Art Institute of Seattle for photography and liked it very much. I am not too sure about the Interior Design program, but I can say this I was very impressed with the professors and I am now currently working full time as a photographer. I would call the school and ask about the program better yet ask to speak with a professor. I was pleased with not only the photographic training but the business instruction as well.
