Bedroom design help anybody?

Question by Jef: Bedroom design help anybody?
Okay, so I’m redecorating my room sometime in the next few weeks, but I can’t decide what to do.
I’m a fourteen year old girl, by the way.
My room isn’t big, but it isn’t a box room either; it is a decent size.
I have white furniture at the moment, but I can buy replacements if I feel necessary.
Basically, I can remodel everything in my room.

Right, so this is the hard bit, I’m hopeless at interior design so I have no idea what to do.

I love fashion, photography, music and clothes.
I love the colours gold, pink, brown, cream.

Like I say, I’m hopeless, so any help would be appreciated.
Pictures would help as well.

Thanks. :)

start by choosing a bedspread you really like then choose a colour from the bed spread then keep in those colors for the walls, choose a theme you like like photography and go with that!

Well, first you want to work on how you want the size to look. If your room is really big, you want to make it look smaller with a darkish wallpaper, (or paint) and light colored furniture. If you have a small room, you want a light room and dark colored furniture.

Second, you want to have cooresponding colors. They can be colors with high or low contrast. For instance, if you want your room bright and peppy, you’d want Purple and yellow(you can tell the opposite colors on the color wheel) and if you wanted your room to be relaxing, you might want analagous colors. (colors right next to eachother on the color wheel). An example would be Blue, blue violet, and violet. You want to pick which out of the sets would be the furniture by the room example I was writing about earlier. If you had a big room, the walls would be Purple for the first set, and violet for the second set. (the 2 colors are a little different) If you had a small room, it would be green or blue.

Now that you have the colors down, you’d want to match your hobbies. Being a photographer, you might want to take some pictures of your pets, your family, your favorite animals, and the rest of it. You’d also want to have an open closet or something to display all your clothes.

And just so you know, as an added tip, cream and pink go together, cream and brown go together, pink and brown go together, and gold and cream go together. As you can tell, cream goes with just about anything! Have fun!
